Located in a setting of oak, pine and manzanita along the north shore of Lake Arrowhead this campground offers picnicking or day use for $5 per day. Access to scenic Deep Creek begins at this campground via the North Shore Recreation Trail. The Northshore campground has a total of 27 campsites of which some are suitable for motorhomes and campers, 2 sites are available for trailers up to 22 ft. and one site for the handicapped. Amenities include tables, campfire rings, flush toilets and piped water. The North Shore Recreation Trail (3W12) is a non-motorized trail that can be accessed from within the campground, and travels to Deep Creek about 2 miles away.

From San Bernardino, travel north on Hwy 18 towards Lake Arrowhead. Turn left onto Hwy 173 and proceed north 1.6 miles until you reach a stop sign. At the stop sign turn right (you will still be on Hwy 173). Travel 2.9 miles to Hospital Rd. Turn right onto Hospital Rd. and travel .1 mile to the top of a small hill. Turn left just past the hospital entrance and you will enter North Shore Campground.

The most popular developed sites on the San Bernardino National Forest may be reserved through Reserve America by calling the reservation number at 1-800-444-7275. Yellow Post Sites may be reserved by obtaining a permit at the local Ranger Station. For additional reservation information please call the Forest Supervisor’s Office at (909) 382-2600.
