Weekly & Ongoing Activities

Every weekend starting May 13 - September 5, 2011 the Lake Arrowhead Village will host their highly anticipated Summer Concert Series every Friday & Saturday evenings at Center Stage. Admission is Free. For more information or seserved table seating prices, please call 909-337-2533.

Come join us for Storytime and Craft at the Crestline Library every Friday at 10:30am. Each week is a different theme! Would you like to tour the Crestline Library with your group? Mondays & Tuesdays 6:00 to 8:00PM. Spanish to English Language Classes. For Spanish speaking adults wanting to learn English, come join us every Monday night (for beginner classes) and Tuesday night (for intermediate classes) at the Blue Jay Library across from Jensen's Market. Free of Charge.

Mountain Peaks Playgroup open to all families of the San Bernardino Mountain communities. Offering weekly activities for children, parents and grandparents by incorporating the ideas of it’s members for indoor playgroups, arts and crafts events, holiday parties, field trips down the hill, park playdates, Parent(s) Night Out, Book Club, and many other various family outings. Come explore and experience the many opportunities of our local community and meet some new friends and playmates along the way. Annual fee is $20. Blue Jay Gallery is very excited and working with several of our Artists to offer a variety of Art Classes. The Watercolor class is offered on the 1st & 3rd Thursday of each month (this class is off site until a sink can be installed in the Gallery). Beading/Jewelry making classes are now on the 2nd & 4th Thursday of each month. Maria Britzman is the instructor for the Sketching and Colored Pencil classes scheduled on Wednesdays. Karen Raidy is offering People and Pet Portrait classes. Informational sheets for the classes with course descriptions, ages and level of instruction as well as supply lists, prices and additional information are available at the Gallery and can be picked up any time the Blue Jay Mall is open. You can also call the Gallery (909) 337-5059 for more information, leave a message and the Instructor can return your call, or request the class instructional sheet and we will be happy to mail, fax or e-mail one to you.

Mountain Singles Mixer every week. We are the only local singles organization, a bunch of mountain friends. Get up, get out, and have some fun! Join us at weekly dinner/mixers, plus special events. Membership is free. The mixers regularly draw 10 to 30 singles (typical ages are 30s through 70s) . For more information, call (909) 744-8561 or e-mail: mountain.singles@yahoo.com.

Weekly Pre-School Story Hour - Parents, Grandparents & caregivers, bring your preschoolers to the Running Springs Library for Story Hour every Wednesday and Friday morning at 10:30AM. 2677 Whispering Pines Drive (next to the playground and across from the post office in Running Springs). Rim of the World Rotary meets on Thursdays at 7pm at the Elk's Lodge in Rim Forest. Our speaker on March 10 is David Stuart from Hearts & Lives.  Everyone is welcome to attend our meetings. Music in the Mountains, "The Long Run, Experience the Eagles". Lake Arrowhead 6-Hour Endurance Rally - Motor-Scooter International Land-Speed-Federation is hosting the Lake Arrowhead 6-Hour Endurance Rally on Sunday, August 7th 2011. This scooter only event will start from and finish at The Saddleback Inn.
